The M.Tech. programmes offered in various disciplines and streams by different departments of the institute are based on the credit system and provide a student with wide choice of courses. Each programme comprises of several core and elective courses and project work.

M.Tech in Industrial Engineering Management is started in the year 2014 in the department of Mechanical Engineering. The program is approved by AICTE and Government of Madhya Pradesh and is affiliated to Rajeev Gandhi Technological University, Bhopal. The program is aimed at a set of activities needed to bring new product and technologies to the marketplace from traditional business practices to contemporary Engineering & Managerial interventions. This course develops the knowledge and skills in the areas of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Functional areas of management, Information Systems, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Quality Management and Quantitative Models for decision making, apart from basic engineering knowledge and skills with emphasis on overall personality development. The branch develops in the students, systems thinking abilities to handle complex problem solving situations. This branch of engineering produces generalist engineers who can serve in Manufacturing, Service and Research organizations.

Candidates who have acquired BE/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial Engineering and Management/ Industrial Production Engineering/ Automobile Engineering/ Manufacturing Engineering by securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate. However in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST, aggregate percent of marks in qualifying examination should not be less than 45%. The admissions are through central counseling on the basis of merit in GATE or on the Qualifying exam based (BE/B.Tech/AMIE). A few seats are also available under sponsored and Management quota. GATE qualified candidates are eligible for scholarship through AICTE.

The program is associated with hands on training in: Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Laboratory (Windchill 9.1), Computer Aided Design (CAD) Laboratory (Pro-E, Unigraphics, Solid Edge), Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) Laboratory , Advanced Nanotechnology Laboratory, Advanced FRP Laboratory.

Students are encouraged to participate in sponsored projects in the areas of: New Product Development , Robust Design of Products and Processes, Customization / implementation of PLM in PLM platforms (Windchill / Ennovia), Design for Manufacture Analysis of Systems / Processes using Simulation .
